Versabar provides custom hydraulic winch-based systems for riser and umbilical pull-ins on fixed platforms, spars, FPSOs, and semi-submersible production facilities. Versabar has installed over 400 risers and umbilicals in the Gulf of Mexico, offshore West Africa and Brazil with loads of up to 650 tons. For higher loads, Versabar transitions to chain jack or traction winch solutions.

Versabar's scope of services include pull-in system design, detailed engineering, equipment layout drawings that account for all platform interfaces, fabrication of beam packages and turndown sheave support structures, project management services, interface management with the pipeline/umbilical installation or decommissioning contractor, system integration and proof load testing of the pull-in equipment, and installation and operation of the pull-in system by competent technicians.

Versabar has a large inventory of hydraulic drum winches available for rent with capacities ranging from 5-tons to 500-tons. Versabar utilizes our winches for many heavy-lift applications including offshore flex joint repairs, deck extension installations, subsea lowering/retrieval systems from drilling rigs, vessels and barges, as well as custom material-handling and hoisting projects.
